Timber Door Renovation

Doors in listed or period properties can become loose over time and can become susceptible to draughts unless there is an effective sealing system in place.

Ventrolla can improve your doors by following its 2 part renovation process. Firstly, it will renovate the door by removing any decayed timber and then will draught proof the doors using the VPSS.

Ventrolla installs its VPSS right around the door so that the appearance of the door is not compromised. An alternative method is to use it on the door blades which are already attached to the frame. Which method is used depends on the requirement of the customer and the type of door which is undergoing the restoration.Timber door frame performance upgrade, Diagram

As per the standard procedure used for installation, the pile carrier is routed into the timber helping it gain anchorage so that it becomes one with the door.  The right dimension of weatherfin pile is then used to ensure that the gap is filled and is then attached to the pile carrier.

This seal is made out of high quality multifilament polypropylene yarn, which has been treated with silicon and also made water repellent and UV stabilised. It also conforms to British Standards BS 7386:1997.

You can therefore rely upon Ventrolla’s unique renovation system for your doors, sash windows and casement windows to restore them to their former glory and to make them more energy efficient.
